Create Better Lighting
Automating your LED strips gives precise control over brightness and color in every room. This lets you effortlessly shape the mood and atmosphere without manual adjustments. Here’s what you need to make your next project a success.
Choose a 12-24 V LED strip
The RGBW Dimmer works with single or multi-color LED strips. You can connect up to 4 channels for Z-Wave control. The device will automatically create a red, green, blue, and white control in your smart home interface. You can then rename them if you’re using a non-standard LED strip, like a cool-white and warm-white fixture. Just make sure that your LED strip doesn’t already come with a built-in wireless controller and that it doesn’t use the addressable LED technology which is not yet supported by Z-Wave.
Find the right power supply
It’s important that the power supply you select for your project has enough “juice” to keep the lights on. While the RGBW Dimmer doesn’t need much power to run (less than 1 Watt), it’s extremely important that you have the right Voltage (12 or 24 Volts) and Wattage (check the specs) in the power source for the lighting set-up of your choice. If you’re not sure how to calculate it, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help!
Pair it with your wall switch
Use a momentary switch, like the ZAC99, for manual on/off and dimming control of your RGBW Dimmer. For a more sophisticated set-up, you can pair it with one of our scene controllers, like the ZEN32 or ZEN35 models, to trigger pre-programmed presets with a single click. Battery-powered ZEN34 or ZEN37 Z-Wave remotes offer the same scene control without wiring, perfect for renters or flexible placement.
Hardware Features
Get the ultimate flexibility for your LED strips with the RGBW Dimmer. It’s quick and easy to install with powerful Z-Wave Long Range capabilities that guarantee a solid connection anywhere in the house.

4 CHANNELS
Control red, green, blue, and white channels of your LED strip through convenient pigtail connections. You can also use a one-color or two-color 12-24 V LED strip or connect multiple LED strips within max Wattage together.

BUTTON
The Z-Wave button on your RGBW Dimmer controls the connected lights. It's also used for pairing with your Z-Wave hub or performing a factory reset when necessary.

SIZE
The compact design makes the RGBW Dimmer easy to hide under cabinets or anywhere you install your accent lights. Since it's a low-voltage device, you have a choice of mounting it directly on a flat surface or in an electrical box.

WIRING
Use the supplied pigtail wires to quickly connect the RGBW Dimmer to your LED strip, power supply, and an optional external wall switch. If you need help or advice with the installation, our technicians are here to assist you.

LED INDICATOR
For easier troubleshooting, the device includes a multi-color LED indicator that turns green or red to show communication status, successful or failed actions, and to confirm factory reset events.

Z-WAVE CHIP
Powered by a Z-Wave 800 series chip, the RGBW Dimmer delivers reliable performance and extended range, even in challenging environments. The advanced chipset also improves efficiency, helping your network run smoothly while using less power.
